John C. Mitchell, a former chief of staff for the Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr., was known for his unwavering determination and unwavering belief in the power of collaboration. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly to promote justice, equality, and access to healthcare for all.

After being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2021, John dedicated himself to fighting the disease with the same passion he had for his other causes. He underwent countless treatments and clinical trials, hoping to find a cure not only for himself but also for others battling this debilitating disease.
